This project calls for the “rebalancing” of space in the room by dividing the room two through a wall whose metal framework will be covered in drywall and the modification of the height of the rooms through construction of a suspended ceiling uniquely shaped to form a series of “light wells.”

This approach will allow excellent lighting for the works on display. The area recovered from the attic will be used to house all of the HVAC, engineering, and electrical systems within a metalwork structure that also functions as support for the rooms’ dividing wall.

The walls will be faced with a double layer of plasterboard and the entranceways and central passageway will be  finished with doors and thresholds in white Carrara marble to match the marble flooring that will replace existing materials.
