Hotel Hilton Metropole

City of Florence | Italy

2000 - 2004

This hotel and convention center offers, in addition to guest accommodations, a modular conference hall with space for 600 and a restaurant that seats approximately 300.

The structure is built upon a two-level base (a street level and first floor) above which rises the fourteen-story tower that houses the guest rooms. A large wellness spa is located at basement level. The building’s base is roughly trapezoidal, and the eastern side is convex in profile. The tower repeats these elements on a smaller scale for the first thirteen floors. At the fourteenth floor, the tower becomes still more slender and provides space for a panoramic terrace and lounge.

Each floor accommodates sixteen double guest rooms of approximately 25m2 in size for a total of 212 rooms.
