Uffizi Gallery Expansion Project — Sale Blu (Blue Halls)

Uffizi Gallery - Florence | Italy

2002 - 2010

Work in this section, of less historical importance than the rest of the Vasari complex, was based upon a 20th-century project originally conceived for the second-floor exhibition rooms where skylights diffuse light uniformly to allow the works on display to be seen in natural illumination.

In order to install the skylights, a false ceiling was created to house heating and ventilation systems.
