The design of the compact bulk of this multipurpose building is articulated through the subtraction of spatial volume and then harmonized beneath a “suspended” roof that uniquely delineates the entire structure.
The inner courtyard, which contains shops and is open to the public, is externally connected through an open gallery and pedestrian walkway. The building includes five above-ground and two basement levels, and the façades are designed to appear as incised backdrops with indentations and protrusions whose form is emphasized by alternating areas in white plaster finish and Santafiora stone.
