New “Vamba” Educational Complex

City of Florence | Italy

2001 - 2004

This project, conceived according to indications provided by the Offices of Student Services, involved the design and building of an elementary school with fifteen classrooms, a kindergarten for six student groups, a nursery school for fifty children, and a gymnasium and other areas intended for educational and extracurricular activities.

The two-building complex is positioned centrally along a northeast/southwest axis, abutting a central courtyard and linked to shared spaces such as the cafeteria and elementary and kindergarten buildings; a third structure, located at a right angle to the others, houses the gymnasium.
